Service was impeccable and the meat is drool-worthy in all the right ways. Brisket was tender and juicy. The fried pickles were the stuff of dreams and the okra was breaded and seasoned perfectly. I am often never impressed by fries....okay... maybe now I am. Do yourself a huge favor and stop in to this establishment. Compliments to the chef from kcmo folks. Tonight reminded me why. The food was subpar. Brunswick stew looked puréed, the bbq pork had the consistency of hash instead of pork. Food was bland and the only good food item to be had was the Texas toast. The young waitress was friendly, but in spite of there only being a few tables with customers, she only stopped by our table once after bringing our food.
